The pool was a good size and pleasantly warm, though some children were left to splash about without their parents paying attention, even though the adults were in the pool too. We went in with an open mind after seeing mixed reviews, and found the room spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar food was delicious and nicely presented. Breakfast was the usual hotel buffet; on both mornings we had to wait for glasses, bowls and eggs, but we’d gone at the busiest time. The serving and kitchen teams handled allergies with real knowledge and care. We’d definitely return.

I booked a massage and was really glad I did. Natalie was perfect for me, a wonderful young lady, and her treatment made me want to come back. The pool is accessible, and there’s also a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I had a lovely queen bedroom, enjoyed the breakfast selection, and stayed in for dinner one evening. The fish and chips were delicious. I really enjoyed my stay.

I’ve stayed twice now, and the staff have been so friendly and accommodating each time. The spa never feels too crowded, and the garden view from the pool is gorgeous. The pool is warm, with lots of comfy loungers, and the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room are spotless and well looked after. My treatment was really relaxing too. Afternoon tea was delicious, 10/10. The check-in on Feb 27th around 14:00 was the worst part. The receptionist with short black hair raised her voice and was rude when we said the room wasn’t the one we’d reserved. We also weren’t given any information about the facilities. For the Hilton name and the price, the service and upkeep should have been much better, though the stay was fine overall. The room itself was warm and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, lovely views, good toiletries and free parking. Most staff were friendly and helpful. There’s no lift or Smart TV, and the premier restaurant is closed on Sundays. The spa felt very basic for the extra cost: two saunas, one timed jacuzzi and a pool. They don’t provide slippers, with staff saying they’re not obligated to. We’d expected more.

We had a great hen party here, and the staff were lovely. The gardens and setting are stunning, and afternoon tea was beautiful, with a good range of drinks and really yummy lunch. I also had a lovely massage from Jess, and enjoyed the sauna and steam room. I’d highly recommend it.
