The large room had a big bed and a big TV, though the screen was a long way from the bed. Breakfast was nice, but it was in the Golf Club Bar and wasn't included in the room price. Staff were friendly. Room preparation let things down: my husband found a false eyelash on the base of his bedside lamp, the toilet could have been cleaner, and the shower dispenser had no soap. We tried phoning about our late arrival but couldn't get an answer. Eventually I emailed and got a helpful reply with a number to call when we arrived. There isn't a dedicated hotel reception.

The staff kindly posted back items we'd left in the wardrobe, at no extra charge. It's a great area and a good place to stay. Looking forward to another visit.

The lodge has its own handy parking, and it's a short walk across the golf course grounds to the clubhouse, where reception and the bar and restaurant are. They unexpectedly couldn't serve food because of some kind of maintenance issue, which can happen. Still, nobody thought to warn guests to eat elsewhere, so having to head out again for food was irritating. Despite that, I'd thoroughly recommend staying here if you need somewhere in the area.

Great spot for a short stay. The rooms are large, clean and very warm, with wonderful views. A few little additions, like more lamps, power sockets and decorations such as pictures, would make them perfect.

The room was comfortable and roomy, with a spacious bathroom and a good shower. There was only a small lobby at the entrance. You need an entry code for the Lodge itself, and the room-only rate was good value. Reception is in the Clubhouse, across the car park from the Lodge, so get your key card before unpacking. The restaurant and cafe are there too. We liked the location, practically on the Jubilee Way and handy for walkers.
