The hotel sits on the cliff near the Spa, so it may not suit anyone with mobility issues. It’s about five minutes to the Cliff Lift down to the Spa and roughly 15 minutes to town. We had a superior room on a holiday with Caledonian. It came with a settee, coffee table, lots of storage, and a separate walk-in shower. Tea and coffee were provided, along with hot chocolate sachets, biscuits, and two bottles of water, though the latter items weren’t replenished on later days. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, and it was topped up as needed. The first morning was chaotic because everyone came down at once, but it was fine after that. We had three-course evening meals, ordered at breakfast for that night. The food was generally OK, hot, and plentiful.

We had a great stay, but there was an issue with the Bingo cash prize. The compare announced one amount, which was also written on the envelope, but when it was opened, the prize was half that figure. The gentleman on reception was very abrupt and seemed uninterested. Another staff member said they’d pass it on to the manager, but I still haven’t heard anything from anyone. 😒

The restaurant had a great breakfast selection, and the waiters worked hard while staying pleasant, even with some miserable guests. Everyone on staff we dealt with was friendly and willing to help. We stayed four nights and had a great time. The room was a nice size, clean, and had comfortable beds. The location was perfect, and it was absolutely worth every penny.

The food selection was good, and it came quickly with a smile. Mark did a brilliant job with the entertainment, which was great. Staff were polite and friendly, and the room had everything we needed, including a hairdryer, soap, and shower and hair gel. We had a lovely four-night stay.

We were delighted with our third-floor sea-view room, and the hotel had been decorated for Christmas, making it feel clean, tidy, and welcoming. We arrived early and reception let us leave our luggage until the 1500 arrival time. The evening meals had plenty of options, and we were given a card with meal times, free drink tokens, room information, and the rules. There was entertainment every night, along with Bingo, a quiz, and a local compare who entertained us. Everyone was thrilled. Management, bar, food, and cleaning staff all treated us with kindness and professionalism, making the whole group feel like a happy family. They made our three-night stay perfect. It was worthwhile and certainly VFM, worth every one of the five stars. Thank you.
