Breakfast was lovely, with choices to suit everyone, and David did a fantastic job keeping the dining room lively. My young children seemed especially impressed. I’d definitely return and recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying here. Ann and David were warm, welcoming, and engaging with both me and my children. They were incredibly helpful in making sure we made the most of our time in Chester, and their hospitality was faultless. The room was beautiful, very spacious, and had a homely feel. It was Victorian in style, and while some furnishings looked a little worn, I felt that added character. The bathroom was a good size and very clean.

Dave was a brilliant host, chatty and full of useful information. We spent two nights at Cheltenham Lodge on 15 and 16 December 2017. The guest house was cosy, the rooms large and warm, and breakfast was cooked perfectly. 10/10.

What a lovely little B&B. My work colleague and I stayed one night on 20/10/15 while attending a course nearby. It was warm, welcoming, and clean, with comfy beds and a fantastic breakfast. I’m already looking forward to our next course, since that means another night at the Cheltenham Lodge. Love, Angela & Jenny xxx

The owners were friendly and helpful, and it’s an easy walk from here to the city centre. Our room was beautiful, clean, and tidy, and breakfast was excellent. I’ll certainly stay here again on my next visit.

On my first trip to Chester, I found this little gem. The owners were friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean. It’s only a short walk into the city, and I’ll be back.
