The afternoon tea was delicious, from the savoury bites to the nicely presented cakes and warm, freshly baked scones. You could taste the care and quality in it all. The staff were warm and friendly, attentive without hovering, and made us feel relaxed and looked after. My husband and I went to Oddfellows Hotel with two close friends for Valentine's afternoon tea, and it exceeded all our expectations. The place felt magical, with surroundings that are elegantly unique, whimsical but refined, like a wonderland. Every room has its own character, and it's hard not to smile as you look around. It was a perfect way to celebrate with people we care about. We'll definitely be back. A memorable afternoon from start to finish.

The attic room was a lovely place to stay, with good WiFi and a double shower that was a fun novelty. I loved the hotel's quirkiness, and the cocktail bar downstairs had a massive choice of drinks. Beautiful hotel, couldn't recommend it more.

This fun, quirky place is right in the centre, and we'd stay again. It was such good value for money, especially as our stay was a Christmas present. I expected a continental breakfast but got a hot one, and it was amazing. All the staff were so friendly, especially the gentleman at breakfast, who really couldn't do enough for us.

The food was plentiful, and the private tea room looked gorgeous and felt cosy. Daniel was lovely, attentive, and took great care of us. I arranged my sister's baby shower there, and we had a lovely afternoon. I'd highly recommend it.

The duplex room was attractive and thoughtfully laid out, with great attention to detail and a very comfortable bed. Having the bath in the bedroom and a toilet with a glass door wasn't to my taste, though I can see how some people would like those features. Breakfast service from Mimi was a pleasure each morning. She was professional, warm, and wonderfully positive. The manager, Libby, was kind and exceptionally helpful from the outset, and we also enjoyed chatting with the engaging General Manager, Izzy. Oddfellows is beautifully styled, with elegance and a lovely quirky character. The accomplished women running the hotel make a real difference to its atmosphere and experience. If you're tired of impersonal chain hotels and are in Chester, I'd highly recommend this independent boutique hotel. We checked out with genuinely happy hearts.
