Breakfast was fantastic and set us up well for the day. Frederika greeted us warmly, and the room was lovely and cozy with a comfortable bed. The double glazing kept out the noise from the busy main road. It was easy to reach the city centre on foot or by bus. If we're in Chester again, Lavender Lodge will be the first place we try.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Lavender Lodge. The owner and staff were so friendly and happy to offer advice or help. Breakfast was a treat, with a very good English breakfast as well as fresh fruit, cereal and yogurts. Our room was furnished to a high standard, with nice toilets and showers. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Chester centre, and there's a regular bus just outside if you'd rather not walk. There’s also a garden seating area where you can have tea or a glass of wine. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Parks, shops, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance, and Chester is a short stroll away. The canal route is worth trying. Our vegetarian breakfast was scrumptious, and the owners were kind and friendly. The hotel was lovely and clean, with loads of useful extras: free WiFi and parking, a hi-tech fan, hairdryer, tea, coffee, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner and face wipes.

It was an easy walk into town, and a short drive got us to the local amenities. The staff made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable and nice, and breakfast was excellent. We had a great stay.

Frederika was a lovely host, and she couldn’t do enough for us. We had a large room and a comfy bed, and everything was spotlessly clean. The shower was hot, and there were even a hairdryer and straighteners. Breakfast was great too. Really good location. Thanks for a lovely weekend, we’ll definitely be back. 💐💐
