We got a fob key, so we could come and go as we pleased. The host also let us check in early, as arranged in advance, because we were going to a gig. The room was warm and comfortable, with a really comfy bed, kettle, tea, sugar, iron and ironing board, plus a private toilet and shower room. It’s basic accommodation, but good value and has everything you need for a no-frills night in Chester, whether you’re going out or shopping. It’s right by the train station and local shops. The centre is a 10-15 minute walk or a couple of pounds in an Uber. Parking at the station is a few minutes away on foot, and costs £10 for 24 hours, or a bit more if you pay in advance through the app. Friendly host, great location and a comfortable room.

The station is very close, which makes the location handy. The room was an okay size, though the toilets were far too small. Room service was okay, but it wasn’t consistently available.

It's in a great spot near the station and the centre. The room itself was basic and fairly well maintained. It was warm and quiet, though not spotless. Fine for one night.

The man at the front desk was helpful and pleasant, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The sheets were dirty and smelled strongly of chemicals, so I couldn't sleep. The room was very dated, and I didn’t want to put my bare feet on the carpet. It had clearly been vacuumed, but still felt dirty. The tiny cupboard-like bathroom wasn’t great either.

The reception staff were polite and helpful. They answered all our questions and got us checked in and out quickly. It’s a budget hotel very close to the train station and city centre, and you get the kind of experience you’d expect for what you pay. It’s not fancy, but the rooms and bathroom were clean, with fresh linen and clean mattress and pillows. The bathroom is small, so it might not suit you if you need extra room to shower or use the facilities. The water pressure was brilliant and everything worked. A good stay.
