Moxy Chester

The location worked really well for visiting the city. From the back doors, it was about a 5-10 minute walk along the canal into the centre. Check-in was easy, and we got a morning text saying the room was ready. They gave us a complimentary cocktail at check-in too. There are a few parking spaces, but the payment app wasn't working, so we paid at reception. The room was modern and had what we needed, including a light under the bed that helped with finding the way back after a nighttime bathroom trip. Breakfast came with our weekend deal and the buffet had a good selection, though staff were slow to top things up. There weren't many regular-height tables in the bar and reception area, mostly high bar seats, low chairs, and sofas. Those weren't great for eating, or for anyone with mobility problems. A fabulous hotel, nearly a five, but those details let it down a bit.

As someone who used to own a hotel, I know this is how you make a great time for everyone. The front of house team, with six dogs, was fantastic, and so were all the other staff. Our room was lovely, had everything we needed, and was dog friendly. Breakfast was nice too. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The room by the canal was lovely, and the drinks were amazing. Kerry made check-in quick and welcoming, and everyone else we met was helpful, friendly, and professional. They all deserve a raise! It was the best birthday weekend, and we'd definitely stay again.

The garden, shops, and city are all nearby, and there's a Waitrose right next door. One exit takes you straight to the car park, while the other opens onto a lovely canal path leading toward town. Our room was lovely, and I slept right through for once. It was quiet but still close to everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and they made my stay feel safe and relaxed. Had a great Moxy time, thanks to everyone who helped. Highly recommend.
