The Bawn Lodge Hotel

We originally booked one night with my sister, then ended up staying two. Lovely place, good location, tasty food, comfy beds, and staff who'll do anything to help. We had a good stay and would definitely recommend it. I'd happily come back.

We just spent two nights here and would definitely recommend it. The service was friendly, the breakfast was excellent each morning, and it's well placed for both the city centre and Hoole.

I arrived early, and the lady kindly took my bag and had it brought up once the room was ready. When I checked in around 10pm, the gentleman was great too. He checked me in and showed me to Room 14 at the back, overlooking the car park. It was very quiet. The room was very clean and felt bigger than I'd expected. It had a standard double bed, fine for me on my own. The bathroom was clean, and the towels were good quality. My only bathroom gripe was there was no shower gel or similar, just hand soap, which I hadn't expected. I skipped the bar and knew I was too late for food, so I went to a street virtually opposite and found an Italian place open, though it was rammed. Breakfast runs from 0800 to 0930, and the pleasant lady had already set a table for me. She helped when I couldn't work the coffee machine. The Kelloggs cereal made me happy, and there were orange and apple juices and some fruit. Breakfast itself was good, though a little small on some items. The room and breakfast were good value, and I was quite happy with everything.

The food at the bar was delicious, and the breakfast bar with drinks, cereal, and pastries was pleasant. The cooked breakfast was a big let-down. The staff were nice, the bar and bar food were great, and overall it was lovely. I'll stay again. The hotel itself was nice, with decent beds and a nice shower area. There was no fridge in the room, even though the website says there is.
