The staff were welcoming and friendly, the place was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Parking was great, and it's a short walk into Chester. We had a small double, but it had everything we needed. There were also bottles of water, fruit and other things available to guests in the dining area. Breakfast was excellent.

Sue and Carol the housekeeper were really friendly. The rooms were clean and cosy, and great value, though a little tired looking. Sue is arranging a full refit. Breakfast was great, but I had to miss it most days because I was out early for work.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious, bright and comfortable. It was the best place to stay in Chester. Sadly, by 2021 it was no longer a guest house. I think covid has killed off the hospitality industry. I hope the owners Marion & Mark are safe and well, and that things will change after the vaccine.

We stayed overnight with family for Christmas shopping. The staff made us welcome, and the room was clean with all the essentials and a comfortable bed, though a little dated. It's a good location, about a 15-minute walk to the city centre. There was a good choice at breakfast, and we'd definitely stay again.

Absolutely perfect. The location is great, the staff are fabulous, and the room was beautiful. The breakfast room was open so guests could help themselves to water, cookies and so on. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Ten stars.
