The rooms and bathroom were clean, and there are several shared bathrooms. I didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked neat and tidy. You can hear surprisingly little road noise given how close the place is to the A1. It’s a budget stay that works well if all you need is a bed and a TV. The lack of an ensuite is the one drawback for me, though it wasn’t a deal breaker. Getting out of the car park can be tricky when it’s busy because there’s no slip road.

I travel as a tour coach driver, and this place suited me well. There’s a shared kitchen, laundry room and small TV lounge. A problem with a future booking came up, but the staff handled it professionally and got everything sorted. I’d stay here again.

There’s free parking, a shared lounge, and a separate utility room with washing and drying machines. It’s pet friendly and works well for budget travellers who want to cater for themselves. I wouldn’t suggest bringing children here.
