We’d happily stay again. Simon was a friendly host who cooked breakfast each day, and the room in the main house was a lovely space, getting warm sunshine morning and evening. The private bathroom was a good size, with a very good shower. It made a good base for exploring the local area.

After a long walk, having both a bath and a shower was very welcome. The enormous room was lovely and very clean, and the location was peaceful and quiet. Simon was a great host, super friendly and helpful.

The annex room was large and had a good shower, though the furnishings were utilitarian. Breakfast was the worst I can remember: the scrambled eggs with mushrooms were barely edible. With fresh mushrooms so readily available, why use tinned ones? There was no local produce at all.

A fantastic location, a good room with all mod cons, and an excellent host. I’ll definitely come back.

We felt welcome the second we arrived. Such a friendly, interesting host, and a great place to stay.
