Spire Cottage were wonderful when a leak at our intended accommodation left us with less than 24 hours to find somewhere else, on the Saturday of Glorious Goodwood. They even gave us a discount for booking at such short notice, which was a lovely surprise. The self-catering cottage was beautiful and extremely well equipped. We’d definitely stay again, and the homemade bread and marmalade were lovely touches.

It was quiet, the bed was really comfy and the shower was fab. The landlady was easy to deal with and very nice. The place is comfortable and stylish, with all the luxuries you could need for a special, relaxing break. She even baked fresh bread for our arrival, and the log burner was the finishing touch. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will be back. Thank you.

A peaceful, relaxing spot, with a nice canal walk from Chichester. We loved the luxurious bedding, lovely toiletries in the stunning bathroom, fresh flowers and all the thoughtful touches. Breakfast was wonderful and there was plenty of it.

Disappointed and upset. I’ve stayed here every year since 2009 with friends and family, without any problems, and have been very loyal. This time, when I spoke with the owner Jan, I found her rude and felt she didn’t care that I was booking again. She said things like, “Well, it doesn’t matter because the rooms will go anyway.” I confirmed by email that I’d booked two rooms, but was then told they had been sold to someone else. It left me very disappointed and upset. It feels like it’s all about the money now.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, the room was perfect, and the breakfast was amazing. Oli and Lilly are so adorable and well behaved. My partner and I felt like family, and I can’t wait for our next little escape there.
