The children had a great time with the treasure hunt and activity packs, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our big family group included everyone from a 94-year-old to a 3-year-old, and we all felt relaxed and enjoyed the day. The lovely setting made it extra special. Thanks to the whole team for making my birthday memorable. I’d happily come back to stay, though I wish it were closer to home so I could visit regularly. Merry Christmas!

We all had a great lunch with the family. The owner had set up a treasure hunt that kept our 4-year-old thoroughly entertained, and the welcome from everyone was so warm. Really lovely people and amazing food. Thanks for taking such good care of us. We’d definitely return for another family meet-up halfway and would recommend it.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. Our ground-floor room opened onto an outdoor bench with views across the fields and hills, a lovely spot to sit with a cuppa and unwind. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, and we had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant. I'd certainly recommend staying here.

We had a very comfortable night's sleep in the nice room, then enjoyed a full English breakfast the next morning. We were staying nearby because we'd booked the light railway for the following day. The hotel has a friendly feel and sits in a picturesque, peaceful spot. We also had a really good three-course dinner in the restaurant and drinks in the garden. I'd stay here again.
