Epsom Cottage

The kitchen was fantastic and very well equipped. I only wish the same care had gone into the parts of the cottage that matter most during a stay. It’s quaint and in a pretty spot, but the price doesn’t make sense with so many problems. The bathroom was cold, the main shower never got hot enough, and the toilet often needed two or three flushes, with things still left floating. There were five of us, so we had to share the single shower in the master bedroom. Two room doors and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and the windows were extremely hard to open and shut, as if they hadn’t been maintained in decades. The walls were so thin we could hear everything in other rooms. I might accept these issues in an ordinary country cottage, but calling it a “luxury cottage” at this price feels silly.
