We went to see Clarkson’s Farm and The Falkland Arms turned out to be a lovely little gem for the trip. The pub is cosy and full of charm, and it’s really dog friendly too. Ernesto and the team were wonderful from the minute we arrived. Our room was gorgeous, warm and welcoming, and breakfast had a great choice. Dinner was just as good: we tried the bacon chop, steak and chicken gnocchi, all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

There was a good range of mains and smaller bites, including fish finger and steak sandwiches, for our family lunch for five. We had croquettes and chicken bites to start, then fish and chips, sausage and mash, steak fries and cheesecake. Everything was excellent quality and served well. It was great to be in a proper pub, and we’ll definitely come back!

The Goan fish curry was absolutely beautiful, and we had a lovely evening. It was a busy Saturday night, but the two of us were well looked after. Two specials weren’t available, though there was still plenty to choose from, including two vegan mains and two vegan puddings.

We were visiting the area and stayed here while seeing Farmhouse. The beds were comfortable, the hosts were great, and breakfast was delicious. We loved our time here and would stay again, and eat here too!

Such a pretty pub, full of character and charm, with stunning rooms. We loved the friendly atmosphere, the food and the location, really everything about it. We’ll definitely visit again. Thanks so much x
