Even my clothes seemed to pick up the smell from the room, and I left feeling uncomfortable. I stayed one night at this Premier Inn, and the first room had a strong, persistent smell of sweat and cheap deodorant. It was poorly ventilated, with windows that only opened a little for safety and no ventilation system that seemed able to freshen the air. The room reminded me of a badly ventilated gym changing room. The staff were kind and quickly offered me another room, but that one was only slightly better and still smelled unpleasant. The persistent odour in both rooms makes me think there may be serious cleaning and ventilation problems at this hotel. Charging guests for a room that doesn’t meet the basic expectation of being clean and fresh feels misleading. I strongly encourage Premier Inn management to investigate this property.

The rooms are standard Premier Inn rooms, and the location is good. The staff here are lovely, friendly, and helpful. The attached restaurant was loud, and a few items weren’t available, perhaps because we stayed on a weekend. We walked four minutes down the road to a wonderful tandoori restaurant instead, with good staff, food, and location, so missing out on the attached restaurant wasn’t really a problem and even led us to a gem. The noise from people smoking outside and leaving the pub did wake us several times, though, and continued into the early hours.

The rooms at Colmworth Park are spacious and always clean, and we love staying here. During our latest visit, after an unexpected hospital visit, a cheerful Sarah welcomed us and went above and beyond. She left some surprise gifts in the room and even put a fan there for me. Diana has always been helpful on our visits too, and kindly reserves us a restaurant table. Thanks to all the staff.

The bed was comfortable, and I slept really well. What made my stay special, though, was the staff, from the cleaners to reception. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The ladies helped with my luggage and greeted me cheerfully whenever I came or went. They’re wonderful.

We had a special event in the area and booked this Premier Inn, where many of our guests stayed as well. The staff were outstanding and went above and beyond for both us and our guests. We highly recommend them.
