The Woodlands Event Centre

The central courtyard garden with its fishpond is a nice place to relax between lessons. There are pleasant lake walks nearby, and an adjacent spa, gym and golf practice area are available, though I’m not sure about the prices. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, and the food is generally pretty good. The training rooms are comfortable and air conditioned. Tea and coffee are freely available, along with sweets and biscuits.

We never went hungry at the conference, thanks to the little cafe. It was stocked with sandwiches, wraps, pastries, cakes and other snacks, plus a wide range of drinks: coffee, tea, and flavoured water, both still and sparkling. It was all free for attendees, so people at your events will be very happy. The facilities were absolutely amazing. We were also pleasantly surprised by the three-course dinner. It was served a bit like a school meal, but the food was reasonable. I skipped the soup and had the Steak & Ale Pie with Chips, followed by Raspberry & White Chocolate Cheesecake. Both were more pub quality than restaurant quality, but nobody at our table had any complaints.

What we’d planned as a small lunch on 3rd December 2021 turned into a much more complex event. The staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive all the way through, including with some unusual dietary requirements. Amazing staff, and highly recommended.

The meeting rooms were excellent, and the facilities were very clean. Nice food was served at the olive grove restaurant. The only downside was the water on our table during the three hours we were in the room: there were nine of us, but only one bottle of sparkling and one still. I’d highly recommend it for work team builds or large-scale offsite meetings.
