The breakfast was simple but pretty good, and the room was genuinely good for a pub inn. We had a minor room problem as soon as we arrived, but the staff handled it kindly and perfectly. Harry, who checked us in, was especially helpful and available, moving us to another room quickly and without fuss. We had a really great stay at The Lamb Inn, just what you'd hope for from a cosy pub. It was a bit pricey, but for a traditional pub inn we still felt it was a five star experience. Would definitely recommend.

Our room was clean, bright and quiet at night, with a coffee machine and biscuits as a nice touch. The old pub downstairs was charming, and the food was delicious. We were well looked after by the bar staff, who managed to fit us in for drinks and dinner despite the rain all weekend keeping us from sitting outside. The place is close to some major Cotswolds attractions but away from the tourists. A fab stay, and thanks to the friendly, helpful staff.

After raising the noise issue, we spoke with Matthew and the management the next day. They were understanding and moved us to room 10, which was stunning and wonderfully quiet, with a lovely bath for an evening unwind. That room change made the stay enjoyable, and Matthew was super helpful. We spent three nights at this gorgeous Cotswold pub at the end of Aug 2025. The pub itself blew us away, though checking in was confusing because there are several doors and no reception desk. Room 2 was beautiful, but it's above the bar, and we could clearly hear conversations and music until 12.30am, even though the pub shut at 11am. Our 6pm dinner was lovely, but I was surprised the Brill came without a potato side. At £26, I expected a full meal, rather than having to pay £6 for a few new potatoes. One drink each and two meals came to £74, which felt a tad steep. On Sundays they do half price pizzas, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast is 'continental': toast with jams, peanut butter or chocolate spread, cereal, some fruit and crossiants, with tea and basic coffee included. Lattes, cappuccinos and cooked breakfast cost extra. I was disappointed a better breakfast wasn't part of the price. The Crown down the road includes a brilliant breakfast for a similar room price. We had drinks after an evening walk, then went to bed. Would we stay again? Yes. Eat there again? No, the food at the Crowns was lovely and reasonably priced, just a five minute walk into the village. This place could be a real gem with a few tweeks.

We had a great Sunday meal for my mother's birthday, with fantastic food and staff at this lovely pub. If you order the Sunday Roast Lamb shoulder, bring some big eaters to share it with, especially with all the extra sides. We'll definitely be back soon.

Excellent service at Sunday lunch. I had the fish and chips and even finished the mushy peas, which were excellent too. My partner's roast beef was nice, though the Yorkshire was a little dry.
