Bub Lane Cottage

Bub Lane cottage made a clean, comfortable base for exploring Christchurch and Mudeford, and we slept really well. We enjoyed the warm hospitality and useful advice on places to visit. If we’re in the area again, we’d look to stay here.

Michael and Sue took very good care of us. The large bedroom and en suite were pristine and exceptionally clean. Breakfast is available if you order it in advance. The location is well placed for exploring locally, with lovely pubs and restaurants in the area and nice views at the Quay just minutes away.

The location opposite Stanpit Marsh was ideal for us as keen birdwatchers. Michael was a very welcoming host and gave us excellent information before and during the stay. He went above and beyond by making a reservation for us at a lovely nearby restaurant. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, with an excellent en suite. Parking in the road could be a bit tricky if you have a large vehicle, but it was fine for us. I’d highly recommend it.

The best part of breakfast was the smell of the freshly baked bread and croissants, with summer fruit and fresh orange juice on the table too. Michael welcomed us at the car, helped with our bags, and showed us around the room, explaining how everything worked. The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and each night of our two-night stay he left chocolates on it. A lovely guest house, and Michael was a fantastic host.
