The old character of Old Bake House is still there, and Holly even showed me a church chair that can turn into a table when needed. Holly and Colin were lovely hosts, and the service was faultless. My room was nice, and breakfast was very good. The coffee mattered to me, and it was good too. There’s no parking at the house, but I had no trouble finding a spot up the street. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Chulmleigh has the feel of a quaint English country village, with pleasant shops and great pubs. We had a lovely little break at The Old Bakehouse. Our room was clean and tidy, with plenty of tea and biscuits, and the owners were helpful and nice. Breakfast was amazing, with lots to choose from.

The room was spotless, though the decor could do with modernising. It still suits the cottage, and I’d happily stay again. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and our hosts were lovely people who were around whenever we needed anything.
