Riverside Hotel

I've been choosing to stay here for the last month, and I'm surprised by some of the other posts. It's cheap, convenient, safe, friendly, and immaculate. The rooms, hallways, and shared areas are all spotless. Cameras on every corner and staircase make me feel safe, not watched. The position is a bit strange, but very convenient, with all amenities close by. The main road to the left hasn't kept me up at night, if it's been a problem at all. Check-in is so simple that even I got it right. The entrance and shared spaces do have a bit of a student feel. Highly recommended.

Once I got inside, the room was fine, with a decent amount of space and a comfortable mattress. But I arrived about 15 minutes before check-in and wasn't allowed in, even though I later learned the room was ready. I was told on the phone to wait outside in the pouring rain. That felt needlessly inflexible. The bathroom was very cold, and the shower was a basic pull-cord type with very weak pressure. The stay was okay apart from that, but the lack of small customer service gestures, especially in that weather, brought it down.

Riverside Hotel was surprisingly affordable for the quality and service, so I thought it was great value. Its location was very convenient, close to everything we needed, and the security made me feel safe. My husband and I had an excellent stay. The modern room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend it.

I slept really well, the night was quiet and comfortable, the bed was great, and there was plenty of hot water in the en-suite. The room was spacious and spotless. It takes about 15 minutes to walk on level ground into central Cirencester. There are plenty of free parking spaces. With no reception, I got the check-in code on my phone as explained, and getting the room key was straightforward.
