Our family of six, four adults and two children, came for Sunday lunch and were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Drinks came quickly, and the food followed promptly once we ordered. Everyone agreed it was excellent, with the desserts especially good. The surroundings are lovely, and it’s the best pub food I can remember having. A first class experience, thanks to the amazing staff. I imagine you’ll be working very hard over the next few weeks, and hope all your customers appreciate you as much as we did. We had a fantastic stopover here. There’s a small campsite behind the pub, with 24/7 facilities and EHU. Inside, it has a lovely stonework interior and a little snug. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without hovering. They were also helpful with me being disabled and on crutches. The chef likes to sing, lol. The food was excellent. My partner had Cornish Sole with a king prawn, cream and parsley sauce, new potatoes and fresh veg, and rated it 20 out of 10. I had nicely cooked gammon, which the dog wanted too. He finished with the Tiramasu. A great experience, and I’d recommend staying here.

The food was fresh, delicious and came in generous portions. They even served it on warmed plates so it stayed hot. The pub felt cosy, with a lovely atmosphere and no loud music, and the waiters were very polite and kind. Best dinner ever. Go here and you won’t be disappointed.

The pie was absolutely awesome, so good I came back a couple of weeks later for another. I was full, though, and had to save it for a future visit. I just love this place: great food, friendly staff, dogs welcome, and muddy boots aren’t a problem.

We turned up on a whim at the weekend and they fitted us in with very little notice. Everything was great. The barman was really friendly, and all the bar menu food we ordered, sandwiches and a burger, was excellent and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
