Hats off to the chef. The food is fantastic, always fresh and full of flavour. We tried the summer menu last year, and I drove six hours to eat here again. Honestly, I'd have walked for it. Service is great, with staff who are polite and friendly without hovering. We had our dog under the table and even she felt right at home. Homey place, fantastic food and service. We'll be back.

We both went for the vegetable wellington and sticky toffee pudding at a birthday meal, and the food was outstanding. The miso cabbage was really good too. Staff were attentive and friendly.

We had a fantastic midweek lunch. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and efficient. There's plenty of parking round the back, and the place is easy enough to find. I'd definitely book a table.

Impeccable service, unbelievably delicious food and a great location make this the best spot locally for Sunday lunch. Even on the busiest Sunday of the year, we had a wonderful time. Many thanks from all of us. Can't wait to come back in the New Year!

A first rate village pub with a good choice of pub food. We came early and found space in the car park for our 7metre MoHo. After a long walk exploring the old canal, we came back for lunch.
