Viva Guest House

We stayed in the ground floor room, and the spacious wet room would work well for someone with mobility difficulties. The host was warm, friendly, and informative, and made us a good full English. The place was spotless, nicely decorated, and had lots of thoughtful little touches. It’s just around the corner from the beach, while town is far enough away to avoid the crowds but still an easy walk. We look forward to going back.

Breakfast was excellent, with a lovely fruit compote, yoghurt, honey and muesli, then the full works. The sausage was good too. Our room and the wet room were a good size and very clean, with a toilet and access rails. The clothes rail lowered to wheelchair height, which was a thoughtful touch. We didn’t need it, but I’m short, so I appreciated it. The host was friendly and suggested plenty of places to enjoy nearby. It’s on a quiet road, a few yards from a quieter beach, and about a ten-minute walk from the pier and seaside amusements. There was even fresh water and a brush outside the front door for rinsing off beach sand.

I felt at home here, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and staff who really went out of their way to help. My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully looked after. It’s in a perfect spot, good value, and made for a really relaxing stay. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It was a quiet place to stay, but still close to shops and restaurants, and I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. The staff were kind and helpful. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Viva Guest House is very nice and clean. I’d definitely come back.
