We loved the wood-fired hot tub, which the host had ready for us when we arrived. The Bluebell Shepherd’s hut was incredibly cosy and warm, even on a rainy February evening. We were welcomed with Prosecco, chocolates and a rose in the hut, and had a lovely weekend there. It’s well placed for exploring the beautiful Tolkien Trail or staying in to watch the local wildlife. Feed from the well stocked honesty shop let us feed the gorgeous alpacas, and we even spotted owls from the hut in the evening. Would recommend to all!

So many thoughtful extras and lovely little touches made this gorgeous accommodation a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The family at the farm have thought of everything, and the setting is beautiful. Communication was fantastic from booking through to checking out. The accommodation feels very private, while the family are available if any issues come up. Definitely recommend, and I can’t wait to return.

Waking up to that beautiful view was such a lovely start to the day. We had an amazing birthday night in the Fern Shepherd’s Hut, which was spotless, cozy, and beautifully laid out, with underfloor heating. The birthday bunting was a lovely surprise, too. Joanne was just a message away when we needed help with the hot tub and arrived within minutes, even in the pouring rain. Would 100% recommend Little Oakhurst 🤩

Bluebell was wonderfully quiet and private, with lovely open views towards Pendle Hill. It’s small, but has everything you might need for a comfortable stay, and felt so warm and cozy. We especially loved having the wood fired hot tub to ourselves. The mince pies and mulled wine were a lovely welcome. Can’t think of anything negative, we loved it!

The hot tub was already warming up when we arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our host had checked our arrival time beforehand, and the whole stay felt carefully arranged. The room was clean, tidy, and well looked after, and we had a peaceful, comfortable time from start to finish. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.
