Along River Colne, this student and professional accommodation is in a quiet neighbourhood. The university is about a 30-minute walk away in practice. There's a gym, plus a common room for hanging out, a cinema room and a reading room for quiet study. A great place to live.

The rooms at Maltings feel like home, and the lakeside view is beautiful. I visited a friend there once and fell in love with the place. The buildings and rooms are better than other accommodation in Colchester, and the staff are better too. My biggest regret is not choosing it while I was studying at the University of Essex. I'd recommend opting for Maltings 100%.

It's a safe, comfortable place to study and socialise, with secure entry, Wi-Fi and laundry. The staff are friendly and happy to help, which makes the environment feel welcoming and supportive. My university accommodation is conveniently close to campus for lectures and facilities. The furnished room has a comfortable study area, and the modern shared kitchen and common rooms make it easy to spend time with others.

Carmen's professionalism stood out throughout my stay. She was attentive, kind and approachable, and always ready to help with the details. From the start, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the place was spotless, comfortable and in a perfect location. I really enjoyed staying here and would gladly return. I highly recommend it.
