The food was a real highlight, especially the steak and burgers, both at the bar and for breakfast. The owners and staff were welcoming, attentive, and easy to chat with, and nothing felt like too much trouble. This was just the kind of stay we wanted, and it went beyond what we expected. Well done, we'll be back 👍

The Halloween party on Saturday was a brilliant night, with great costumes and really friendly locals. We were there for a four-day holiday, and the clean rooms were tidied every day. The place itself was amazing, with great food and a menu with lots to choose from. The owners couldn't do enough to help us feel relaxed and comfortable. A big thank you to Robin and Silvia, all the staff, and the chef for making the stay so good and for the lovely meals. We'd happily return next year.

Everyone we met at the pub made us feel welcome, and the greeting was polite and friendly. We stopped in a couple of times during our week in Coldstream. We didn't eat, but the food looked amazing. It's dog friendly too 😁. I'd highly recommend visiting if you're nearby.

The barman was welcoming, and the service was excellent. I stopped at The Newcastle Arms Hotel for lunch and tried The Highlander. With two burgers, haggis, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, salad garnish and chunky chips, it was on another level, one of the best burgers I've ever had.

After three weeks on the road, I've stayed in pricier hotels that offered much less. This is one of the best value hotels I've been to, and breakfast is included. The staff are friendly, the rooms are good, and the food's fantastic. It's been a fantastic stay.
