The room had a kettle with tea and coffee, a shower room and a smart TV. Check-in was really easy, and it was a good, typical Travelodge room. There were lots of guests in the building, but it was still quiet. It's a small place without food facilities, though there are plenty of options nearby.

For the optional breakfast, you get a box with water, oats and an energy bar. That's stuff you could buy yourself, at double the price. I wasn't expecting a five-star restaurant meal, just hot coffee and an English breakfast. The sink was clogged, and there was no AC in a room with two outside walls. Very smart!

There's a layby right behind the hotel where you can load and unload, but parking across the road is a pain. The TVs are small and old compared with other Travelodges, and there's no app access, so you're stuck with Freeview, if you can get it working. The menus sometimes don't respond.

The location is handy for getting around North Wales, with quick access to routes east and west, though the hotel is right beside a shopping centre rather than one of the area's pretty spots. Deganwy and Conwy are definitely worth visiting. The bed was comfy, the room clean and modern, and the bathroom was tiny but clean as well. Friendly service.

I'm usually out exploring most of the day in spring and summer, and this is handy for the beach, shopping and the train station for trips farther up the coast. The beds are really comfortable when I get back. It's a bit basic, like any Travelodge, but the cost is usually the lowest around at the time. The place is clean, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. I always stay here when exploring North Wales.
