Beryl and Malchom were wonderful hosts, and we had a lovely time. Breakfast outdoors in the beautiful garden was a real treat. Bars and Swallows were to die for. The location is central for reaching nearby towns, villages and places of interest, with Dorset right on the doorstep too. Highly recommended, but book early. They’re talking about selling up, so phone first.

We’ve stayed at plenty of B&Bs over the years, but never met a couple as lovely as Beryl and Malcolm. They’re amazing, so friendly and always ready to help. The place is peaceful, and I still smile thinking about our time there. When we left, they gave us hugs 😊 The breakfasts were lovely, with fresh eggs from their own chickens. Beer and Lyme Regis are only a short drive away, and there are lots of nice walks and pubs serving delicious meals. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in the self-catering annex and slept like logs in the peaceful, comfortable setting. Beryl and Malcom were generous, helpful hosts, and Beryl made us delicious breakfasts every day, with fresh fruit, eggs from home, homemade bread and jams. They also shared great ideas for walks, places to visit and places to eat. Malcom’s parking advice was especially appreciated.

The garden is gorgeous, clearly cared for over many years, and the little summer house overlooking it is there for guests to use. Out the back, there’s a woodland walk that’s perfect for the morning. Our room was cute and had a real country feel. The house is just off a country road, but at most two cars passed in a night, so it was beautifully quiet. The husband and wife hosts are amazing and so hospitable, always looking after what you need. There’s a hand sanitiser station by the entrance too. I stayed for a birthday weekend in early August 2020, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
