You can rent kayaks and paddleboards right at the property, which was much nicer than joining the chaos over in Coniston. The restaurant breakfast was lovely too. The place itself is beautiful, quiet and restful, with stunning views over the lake. I’d highly recommend it.

The food was the real standout, easily the best meal we’ve had in the UK. We stayed over Easter and loved the incredible views and cosy cottage, especially having a fire each night. Thanks to Johnathan and the team :)

I needed a reset, and this visit gave me one. It was educational and inspiring to spend time somewhere, and with people, so grounded in values close to my heart. I’m hoping to go back as soon as I can. I left the car behind and walked every day, whether I wanted art and nature or a trek up and around Old Man Coniston. Even though I was self-catering in Beckfoot, the restaurant food was so good that I never cooked. It was consistently high quality, probably the best I’ve ever had. The cottage was beautiful, clean and just right for me. Jonathon, Shayla and the team were warm, kind and generous with their time. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Staying on a working farm in such glorious surroundings felt like a real privilege. It’s the most wonderful place on the planet!

Easy to walk into Coniston village from this charming, peaceful B&B. The food was wonderful, and the stay was comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful walks nearby. Idyllic.

We spent a week at Bank Ground Farm from late April into early May and had a wonderful time. The accommodation and food were both great. We could walk to Brantford and Coniston, too. Highly recommend it.
