The Saxon Crown

From check in to check out, it was a good stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the location in the town centre was convenient. It was surprisingly peaceful and quiet given where it is. The bedroom was larger than I expected, comfortable, and well laid out. There was plenty to choose from at dinner and breakfast, and the food was well cooked, nicely presented, and excellent value.

Our family stayed here and said the rooms were great, though we only visited the pub downstairs. The food was decent, good value, and came quickly, as usual at Wetherspoons. The tables were the main problem: there were dirty ones everywhere, and staff barely seemed to clear the plates and glasses. We had to clear our own table, and people were using empty tables as dumping spots, with some stacks getting pretty high. We also ordered drinks in the app, which gave an eight minute wait, but it took 30 minutes. When we asked, staff didn't believe us at first, then realised the mistake and said they were doing it now. We still waited another 10-15 minutes. Still good value, as always, but the place needs a few tweaks.

The pub downstairs had good food and drink, and the stay was great value. Our room was clean, modern, and in excellent condition. The location was good too, with free parking out front overnight.

There was lots of seating, with different sizes of tables for bigger and smaller groups, and the pub is quite spacious inside. Service was great and the food really nice. Wetherspoons can get a bad rep, but I had a nice visit. I'm not from Corby and hadn't been before, but I'd come back. There's a hotel at the pub too, though I didn't stay, so I can't say what the rooms are like.
