We attended a wedding two weeks ago. The venue felt dated and was not wheelchair friendly, with steps everywhere. The tail lift wasn’t working, and there were no disabled toilets. I’m sure a wedding venue is required under building regulations to have a disabled toilet for wheelchair users and elderly people. The caretaker offered the toilet in one of the disabled bedrooms instead. It was dated, the toilet had black marks and the seat was wobbly. I managed a quick visit. I hope this is taken seriously.

The wedding venue and ceremony were beautiful, and the decor, presentation and friendly staff were all lovely. But we stayed overnight because the event ran very late, and the room was a nightmare. There were vomit marks on the carpet, faecal stains on the bathroom wall, filthy taps and a broken tap handle. The windows were cracked, and the bathroom doorknobs were coming off. We spoke to the manager, who moved us, but we checked three other rooms before settling on one. They all had the same problems. The staff were nice, but the hygiene was very poor and the rooms were filthy and falling apart. This hotel needs an inspection.

I’m on my third stay here and have had a great experience every time. The staff are polite and accommodating, and Anni, who I believe is the manager, always makes sure I’m comfortable. If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay, this hotel should suit you.

The hotel felt run down, and management seemed absent or uninterested, especially at reception. The staff were slovenly in how they dressed and behaved. Nobody told us the meal times, and there was no information in the room either. We arrived for breakfast at 9 am and were told the chef had already gone. The basic breakfast had no care put into it, the tables weren’t set and the floor wasn’t clean. A waitress did help when we asked, but it still wasn’t a nice place to be. Our room wasn’t serviced during our stay, and an outdoor floodlight shone into it all night. Some things in the room didn’t work, though they were replaced when we asked. We’d never stay here again.
