Days Hotel Coventry

I needed somewhere convenient and budget friendly, and this suited me perfectly. It’s simple, clean, and friendly. It isn’t a luxury hotel, and it doesn’t claim to be, so I had no complaints. People are right that the breakfast pastries are small, but there’s no limit, so having a couple instead of one big pastry was easy. I was completely satisfied.

The staff were smart, polite, and efficient, and the breakfast was good. We had the included continental option and added omelettes for a small extra charge. In the rooms there’s enough tea, coffee, and milk, and the beds are comfortable. The soft, fluffy white towels deserve a special mention. We’ve stayed here before and always found the rooms clean and well maintained. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Coventry.

The staff were pleasant and the location was good, but I’m not sure the price matched the room. The online photos didn’t give me a clear idea of what to expect, and I’m uncertain I’d stay again. The bathroom needed upgrading, and the mattress and pillows were hard, so I didn’t sleep well. Breakfast was described as included, but that covered continental only. Cooked breakfast cost extra.

The staff were consistently nice and helpful, and the restaurant served good meals at reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet was small but enough, although eggs cost extra. I didn’t try the gym. The area around the hotel wasn’t very nice, and it was noisy during my stay, especially at night when cars sped past. The rooms need refurbishment and air conditioning, and the bathroom was tiny.
