The food was absolutely lovely, proper hearty food that was exactly what I ordered and then some. Full marks to the kitchen. The Three Horseshoes Inn itself is a solid pub, but as out-of-towners we felt about as welcome as a fart in a lift. The locals seemed to know each other well, which is nice for them, but it felt like we'd walked into a private family reunion by mistake. There were sideways glances, quiet conversations, and a clear sense of “you're not from round here, are you?” Three stars feels fair. Maybe bring a local next time, or practise your “I've lived here since 1987” face.

The village setting, decor, and ambience are lovely, and the food was very good. But service was really slow, and the staff looked like they couldn't be bothered to be there. The manager was scruffy, in a dirty t-shirt and shorts. This could be such a good place, but unfortunately we won't be coming back.

We were so pleased that our friends were impressed and eager to return. We booked a table for 8 for dinner last night, Friday 28th November, and found the staff looked after us well. The place was clean, the atmosphere was good, and the food was delicious and very good value. Thanks to the staff for taking care of us.

Spent New Year's Eve at this lovely pub and had a very nice time. They put out food for free, which was very generous. The only small drawback was that the music was a little too loud.

We had a wonderful meal with friends on Sunday evening. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we all loved it. The sea-bass was delicious, cooked well, and beautifully presented.
