YHA Coverack

I stayed here a long time ago. It was a nice, clean place with a shared pantry and a laundry area for an extra charge. The parking was fine and the surroundings were quiet. You could go for a morning walk and enjoy the picturesque scenery.

A lovely, clean and welcoming hostel, with a staircase rescued from a shipwreck. We visited in the off-season and were lucky to have a room overlooking the sunrise over the sea. You can get similar views from the breakfast room and restroom too.

Friendly, clean youth hostel with camping in a small orchard in the garden. Campers get a good shower block and kitchen, plus full use of the hostel kitchen, living room and dining room. The sea views are great, and Coverack Beach and the harbour are a five-minute walk away. You can get an evening meal and breakfast here. We ate dinner on our first night because it was convenient not to cook or eat out, but we didn’t feel like doing it again. Luckily, the kitchen is well equipped and there are several good places to eat nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hostel is kept clean throughout. A great place for a sociable travel experience.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and there are several picnic tables around the site. The campsite has a decent toilet and shower block, plus an outdoor washing-up area, though watch out for the hot water. The pitch area could be flatter since the whole site slopes a bit. I also wish they’d cleared more apples from the trees, added a brick BBQ, and put more lights along the road and path to the toilets. The location’s great, with a path down to the village for the waterside pub and fish and chips, as well as the fishing quay and direct access to the South West Coast Path.
