The quiet setting made this four-night stay especially enjoyable. Cowes town centre and the sea are an easy walk away, and there’s parking too. I loved the hypnotic sea views from my room, the lounge and dining room, and the house’s history, character and old-world charm. Margaret gave me a warm, personal welcome, and the four excellent cooked breakfasts kept me set up for each day. Villa Rothsay is a splendid little hotel and an absolute gem.

The food was delicious, and Maggie’s beautiful home had everything I could want. She’s a lovely host and truly one of the best in her field. Thank you, Maggie, it’s a place worthy of a royal visit!

The bed and mattress were excellent, and the shower was great too. Everything was clean, comfortable and fully equipped, with a lovely view. Villa Rothsay Hotel is a beautiful house with plenty of authentic character, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived thanks to the owner’s kind, friendly manner. We had a wonderful stay on the Isle of Wight, especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast, and will definitely come back. Thanks again! 😊 Cedric (France)

The boats crossing the water were fun to watch, and the sea views were beautiful. It was really quiet, and I enjoyed my time at Villa Rothstay. Breakfast was delicious and didn’t disappoint. Just be aware, the hill up to it is quite steep if you’re not keen on walking, though Cowes centre is only a 10 min walk away.
