The local stories and the pub’s atmosphere made this a great stop. It’s well worth a short detour, and I hope they find new owners so it’s still here when we visit next time.

Fiddichside was our fifth or sixth stop on our Scotland tour, and it ended up being my absolute favorite. I could happily live there for the rest of my life. Our AirBnB stay was lovely, and the small, welcoming pub attached to it made the whole vacation for me. Andy was tending the pub and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. His customer service was beyond anything I’ve experienced, especially in the US. He had recommendations ready, was easy to talk to, and a great conversationalist. I miss you, Andy. You’ve made me want to visit New Zealand instead of Australia! And Angus, I don’t know what else to say. I’ve never met someone so welcoming and so eager to give tourists a taste of Scotland’s friendliness. Thank you for going out of your way to return my cardigan after I left it behind. I can’t thank you enough. You and Andy gave us some of our best memories of Scotland, and I hope I see you both again.

A tiny pub with a great atmosphere, and both locals and tourists were really friendly. It’s in a beautiful spot beside the Fiddich River, and well worth visiting. Cheers, Angus! 🍻

A brilliant little place, full of locals having a good time, with friendly staff. They even offered us cheese and digestives with our drinks. 👍

My son and I stopped in after a friendly employee at the Glenfiddich distillery store recommended the Fiddichside Inn. We were staying nearby at the Craigellachie Inn and wanted to see what the fuss was about. It’s a small tavern, but the owner, Brian, knows an incredible amount about whisky and gave us a great education in all things whisky. A must-visit if you’re in the heart of the Speyside Whisky trail region.
