The room was a good size, but the bed wasn't comfortable. It had an old open-sprung mattress with a join down the middle. Check-in is at 6pm, and paying another £20 for early check-in is just annoying and bonkers. A 10am checkout is ridiculous too. If you're lucky enough to get the room at the front by the breakfast room, you'll wake up to the owner setting up what was one of the worst breakfasts I've had. There's no cooked food, just a wedge of Dairylea, toast and orange cordial if that's your idea of a good continental breakfast. There's nothing luxurious about it. It feels like the owners do the bare minimum to maximize returns because most guests only stay one night. That's not how I'd run a business.

They charged me £90, though the price on booking was only £45, and that was what happened to me. I trusted them to tell me the truth, but found out afterwards. These people running the place are dishonest and try to rip you off. They seem to love lying. What a shame.

Really nice room and service was great. Five stars, I'll definitely come back.

I went there to see a friend. It had a nice, relaxed atmosphere, though I didn't stay.

The description isn't quite accurate. I wouldn't call it luxury.
