Our rooms were spotless and we had a really comfortable stay after being greeted so warmly. The owner, who runs the place, is a real gem. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Nothing to dislike, I’d happily recommend it and stay again.

I was on a business trip, but I’m thinking of returning with my wife for a weekend away. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had everything I needed, including a fridge with refreshments. I asked for breakfast at 6:30 and it was beautiful. The eggs were perfect, and the meat tasted fresh, possibly from local farms. It may be the best breakfast I’ve ever had.

I usually stay in hotels when I travel, but this was my first time choosing Hillside bed and breakfast. The welcome, food, service and hospitality were all so good. The rooms were clean and the place was very quiet. I’d definitely recommend it, and would give it more than five stars if I could.

Sandford is a beautiful, unhurried village, handy for Crediton and Exeter, and a lovely place to slow down and enjoy this part of the world. I really enjoyed my time there. Hillside felt warm and inviting, with a delightful host. My room had everything I needed, from toiletries and refreshments to a super comfy bed, and breakfast was delicious. Thank you.
