We made good use of the location, taking the train to Liverpool and using park and ride for Chester, and we also had a brilliant trip to the zoo. The site was spotless, with toilets and showers that looked fairly new and were just as clean. Staff were friendly. We stayed a week and wished we had longer. We're a retired couple and hope to come back.

The road beside the field is fast, though it didn't seem especially busy. My eldest loved watching all the farm vehicles go past. It's a lovely small campsite, with really friendly owners and clean, tidy facilities that had everything we needed. We had an electric hookup. There's no play area, which is the one small downside, but we didn't spend much time on site. We'd happily stay again if we're in the area.

We upgraded to the bell tent when we saw it was empty, and it was a great place to stay with loads of room. The campsite was lovely and quiet when we visited yesterday. Suzanne, who I believe is the owner, was friendly and helpful. The local pub also does a really good Chinese. Yum. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby.

There was plenty of room for the kids to run around, and the pitches were level. The site was lovely and clean, and the staff were great. I'd forgotten our pillows, so I asked the owner where I could buy some, and she brought some out for us to borrow before I knew it. The pizza van on site was a nice bonus. We'll visit again.

Beeston castle is close by, and Chester centre, Ellesmere port, Cheshire oaks and Delamere forest are all within a 25-minute drive. There are plenty of pubs around for food, and I'd recommend the Shady oak. The site was peaceful all day and easy to find, with a friendly atmosphere. Toilets and showers were kept really clean and tidy. I'd stay here again.
