I stayed at The Manor Arms the night before a wedding. It's tucked away in the Somerset countryside and seems good value. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, though rather cramped. The bathroom looked like it had been squeezed into an existing room, which gave things a bit of a budget feel. The bed was great and I slept comfortably, but plenty of light came through the curtains, so an eye mask might help if that bothers you. Breakfast was very good and the service pretty good too. They struggled to seat us near our friends, and I felt we were in the way. Maybe large groups aren't common there. Whether it suits depends on what you're after. If you want space, modern rooms, and all the conveniences, this probably isn't the place. For a good-value country stopover, it works just fine.

The room was clean and did what we needed for our stay while visiting for a friend's wedding. It was freezing when we arrived, but there was a small heater to help. We had no Vodafone signal at all, and the TV only picked up radio channels, though neither bothered us much since we don't watch TV. Tea and coffee in the room and clean towels were welcome extras. We had a lovely breakfast before the long drive home. The hosts were so friendly and made us feel welcome in a stunning village. A nice stay, thank you 😊

The owner was really helpful and suggested a couple of places to go, including cider apple orchards just a few minutes away and a good dog-walking spot. The Manor Arms is in a lovely village a couple of miles from Crewkerne. We stayed for three nights and had a very pleasant time. Our room was comfortable and had satellite TV, and the English breakfast was nice. We had the only dog-friendly room and paid £5 a night, which I thought was very reasonable. I've paid that much at campsites.

Good value for a cheap overnight stop 🙂. The rates were low, and the room was basic and dated, but the linen was clean and the bed was okay. The landlady came across a little brusque, though friendly enough underneath. Breakfast was sliced toast and cereal that was slightly stale. I didn't try the cooked option.

We paid £65 and were totally disappointed with the room and the whole stay. It was freezing, and the bedding and towels were damp. There was a tear in the headboard and a broken towel rail. We asked to move because it was horrible, and the lady said she hated that room but it wasn't her pub. The other room looked better at first, but when we unpacked we found dead flies all over the floor, drawing pins holding up the blind, holes in the windows, and dust. My son started coughing and feeling unwell, so we drove home at 10:45 at night in the freezing cold. Everything was locked up, so we couldn't speak to anyone. We're gutted that our weekend was ruined and would like a refund.
