The Old Rectory Somerset

Caroline made us feel right at home and went the extra mile as a fabulous host. The property is stunning, and breakfast was first class. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely return.

Each shepherd’s hut has its own private garden, with a fire pit, covered wood-fired hot tub, fairy lights, and outdoor seating. Rose-filled hedges give you a bit of separation from the small flock of sheep grazing nearby. The Bristol Channel views towards South Wales are stunning and change with the weather. There's an outdoor pool too, in a setting that feels almost Mediterranean. The hut is nestled in lush countryside and is the best one we've stayed in. Its design and quality are superb, and it's styled and stocked so you feel looked after and pampered. The location is lovely, on a small lane with a beach one way and a wonderful 17th-century former coaching inn and pub the other. So relaxing, peaceful, luxurious, and special. The attention to detail is stellar. Book it, you won't be disappointed!

Caroline greeted me with a genuine smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Her enthusiasm for giving guests a memorable stay really shows, whether she's recommending good restaurants or serving the hearty breakfasts, which were a feast for the senses. The Old Rectory Somerset has a sophisticated but cosy feel, with tasteful interiors and grounds. Traditional English design works nicely with modern amenities. This B&B is a lovely, peaceful choice in the heart of Somerset, for a romantic break or simply some time away. I only wish I'd been able to stay longer, and I'm already looking forward to visiting again. Thank you, Caroline!
