We stayed in Pinemartin and loved it. The views were amazing, especially from the balcony, where we sat listening to the birds. Cameron was a welcoming host, and nothing seemed to be a bother. There’s lots to do nearby. We’d recommend a cruise on Loch Katrine, a visit to Kinlochlaich gardens and the Crannog Centre, and the train trip from Crianlarich to Mallaig for the views. If you take the train, book seats in advance because it gets very full. Book a table in Mallaig too if you want to eat there. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The setting at Deerstalker Lodge at Portnellan is quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous walks close by and a lovely waterfall nearby. Our cabin was spotless, immaculate, and thoughtfully set up with everything we could need. It felt cosy by the fire, and the coffee machine was a nice touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the beautiful bathroom had both a bath and shower, plus luxurious robes. Cameron was responsive and considerate, and it’s clear he cares about guests having a good stay. We felt very well looked after and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks again, Cameron.

We had a brilliant New Year at Portnellan, and there are plenty of things to do in the area, including Glencoe ski resort, just over 30 minutes away, and lots of hills to climb. Cameron invited us to celebrate Hogmanay at his home with his friends, family, and other travellers. It was such fun, with bagpipers, dancers, and a fireworks display that spared no expense. Booking communication was perfect from the start. We had groceries delivered to the cabin in advance, and they were already put away in the kitchen when we arrived. The cabin was clean, tidy, well decorated, and well maintained. Our whole family came away with great memories. Can't wait to go again!

The area is absolutely beautiful, and Cameron and his family have a really special property. I went on holiday with my sister-in-law and her family, and it was a fantastic chance for both families to unwind and get away from the city's hustle and bustle. Our hosts were kind and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Portnellan is really well located. We managed several hikes within a 30-minute drive, and could also climb Ben More on foot from the lodge. Whooper Lodge was clean and well maintained, and we had a lovely stay.
