Stoney End

We had such a good four-night stay at Stoney End with our four-year-old and six-week-old girls, and wished we could have stayed longer. Even with wet weather all week, the hot tub and wood burner made it a perfect break. The hot tub was absolutely worth adding. The cottage was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. There are shops nearby, including a shop and chip shop in Hawes, and lots of lovely walks around the area. We especially enjoyed visiting the forbidden corner, which was great for all ages. If you want a warm, comfortable and relaxing stay, I'd highly recommend Stoney End.

After a long day out in the dale, our private hot tub in the downstairs room was wonderfully relaxing. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, and everything provided for the stay was to a very high standard. Excellent all round. We've already recommended it to family and friends, and we'll be back.

Pamela made us feel so welcome, and was happy to help with anything. We loved our two-night stay with my daughter. The Wensleydale room was perfect, and Pamela has thought of everything. It's such a warm, homely place and is run extremely well. Thanks again, Pamela. We'll see you soon.

We've stayed here twice now with our two little terriers, and adore the cottage. It's a real home from home, with very comfy beds, The White Company linen and top-quality cooking utensils. Pamela is lovely and welcoming, and has thought of everything you need for a self-catering stay. The hot tub is an added bonus, and we were lucky to spot the resident barn owl in the sky, a sight that topped off the amazing views. It's perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Gods country after all. Askrigg is only a four-minute drive away, with a handful of pubs, a lovely deli and a convenience store. The Kings Arms was a favourite. We also enjoyed fish and chips from the van that visits the village on a Wednesday afternoon and evening. What a treat. We'll definitely book again, hopefully before too long. Thanks again!
