We turned up about two hours later than planned, but I’d called to let them know and the hosts were still so welcoming, even at that late hour. That kindness made a real difference. For a one-night stop, The Luib Hotel was great value, especially for the location. It has a traditional Scottish character, with mat flooring throughout, and there was free parking on site. A simple, comfortable stay with the essentials covered.

My friend was only trying to sort out his maps in the car park when the owner became extremely aggressive toward him. My friend was shaking with fear and had a serious panic attack. He even offered the owner his phone just to get him to back off, and might have done more if I hadn’t been there to defend his honour. I stepped in and got him safe. Stay clear, this owner is very aggressive.

We stopped here on the way to the Highlands. The hosts were lovely, very kind and friendly, and the room was fine, with enough sheets and towels. Great location.

John and Chuck made sure we had what we needed and kept us entertained the whole time. It’s a gorgeous, authentic Highlands inn in a stunning spot, with great hosts. If I don’t make it back, I either died young or made a big mistake.

The rooms had everything I needed, and the whole place felt really cozy. I loved the views and the outdoor seating where you can look out at the scenery. There’s also a restaurant and bar attached, with great food and service. I had a great stay at the Luib Hotel and would come back if I’m in the area.
