The castle and those coastal views in Criccieth never get old. We had a brilliant five-night stay in early August 2020, as the country was coming out of lockdown. Julie and her team were professional and diligent, both with the post-lockdown measures and the everyday running of the guesthouse. Our double room and our children’s twin room were perfectly set up, with everything we needed and great WiFi. Everything was spotless, breakfast was excellent, and we’ll certainly return.

We made good use of Julie’s suggestions for places to visit, and spent one sunny day on the beach eating ice cream. She also advised us to book evening meals ahead, so we could just arrive and enjoy ourselves. Julie was a wonderful host and made sure we were comfortable. Our newly decorated room was smart and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Glyn-Y-Coed and come back.

Julie was so friendly and helpful, and pointed us to places to eat locally in the evenings without needing to drive. We really enjoyed four nights here. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, and the breakfast room and guest lounge both look out over the sea. Breakfast had lots of choice and was presented beautifully. Thanks, Julie, for a lovely few days.

We were here for a wedding and had a great visit. Julie and her team were very accommodating, the rooms were finished to a high standard, and breakfast was generous. We’d be happy to come back.

We felt at ease as soon as we arrived, and even got a free room upgrade. The owner recommended a lovely restaurant on the front, and breakfast was great too. We were visiting the different Zip World sites, and this was a convenient place to drive from. Such a cute, clean place with really friendly people. We’ll definitely book again!
