Loch Monzievaird Self Catering

The private sauna was a great feature, and the lodge had everything we’d expect for self-catering. We were there for a few nights with three friends, and the surroundings were peaceful, with lots to do on site or a short drive away. The staff we met were lovely and helpful, and let us have a generous late checkout without any hassle. Our lodge felt a little dated, though it had its charm, and could use a few more plug sockets for charging phones. That didn’t detract from our stay. Definitely recommended.

The cottages are so peaceful, spacious, clean and relaxing that our family is already planning another visit. As a Fin living in Glasgow, I’ve found my little home-away-from-home gem: the cottage with the sauna, which we call Mökki back in Finland. I wish I’d been brave enough for a swim, so that’s for next time. Thanks for having us! Can’t recommend it enough.

Our accessible chalet was thoughtfully designed and well appointed, with parking right outside. It sat away from the lake, but a lovely stream bubbled past and made such a nice sound. The living, dining and kitchen areas opened onto a patio with a wonderful lake view. The staff were so friendly and patient with all my questions.

A quiet holiday spot for watersports, chalet stays, walking and hiking. We walked around the Loch with the dog, who had to stay on a lead. There were lots of ducks and a few swans, and the first creature we spotted was a little red squirrel.
