I wouldn’t stay there again, even if I were given two weeks free. The apartment was an absolute disgrace. There was brick dust under the kitchen table and blood on the sofa in the front room. My daughter has asthma and had to go home. Be aware of 17 Alfred road Cromer Cromer.

We booked through Hoseasons, who promised to investigate and gave us a substantial refund. We’d asked Sue by email before our stay last September to confirm that the apartment would have a COVID-19 deep clean, and she promptly said it would. On arrival, Sue told us by phone we’d been moved to a different apartment, which she also said had been deep cleaned. We were disappointed to find personal belongings left in drawers by previous holidaymakers, greasy marks on the kettle and table, and crumbs and bits of food under the settee cushions. There was even a 20p coin there. The furniture was dusty and very dated. In the bathroom, old toothpaste was on the tiles, and only half a roll of cheap toilet paper had been left. I’d brought bedding from home and a blanket for the dog. We put our bedding over what was already on the bed, and used the dog blanket to sit on the settee. Our dog slept in her own bed from home. I emailed Sue that same day to explain my concerns and disappointment, but didn’t hear back during our stay. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We’ve been coming back every year for 10 years, and we love the place. It isn’t five star, but it’s comfortable and clean.

I booked for today, but haven’t been given a key code. Every contact number I’ve tried either isn’t recognised. Does anyone have Sue’s number or email? I’m quite frustrated, thank you.
