Padbrook Park

We enjoyed the Sunday lunch enough to come back after stopping in for lunch on Tuesday. I had pork and my wife had beef, both excellent, and there was plenty of meat. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. Tuesday’s food was lovely, and the triple-cooked chips were the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth dropping in.

Everyone was really welcoming, and my room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful, too. I’d booked a year ahead because I was coming for a wedding and needed to make sure I had a room. A month before the stay, I checked that the booking was still there and was very relieved they had all my details. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel is set in a park just outside the village, so it’s a peaceful spot, with plenty of free parking around it. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had good beds. Service was good both at check-in and when we asked for a plate for the dinner food we’d bought in the village. Good value for the price, and I’d recommend staying here.

The breakfast the next morning was far better than we expected, with fresh produce, and several people told us how good the wedding breakfast had been. The bedrooms were very clean, and the facilities were fantastic. We had our wedding at Padbrook Park Hotel, and Sarah Buckley made the day special from start to finish. She was kind, funny, and an incredible wedding planner. In the run-up we had several meetings to go through everything, and she was amazing at each one. On the day she had everything with the staff under control, and I never needed to ask her to do or change a thing. We can’t thank her enough; the day wouldn’t have been the same without her. She’s a real asset to Padbrook, and I hope she stays there for a very long time. We’ll be back soon for a beef roast like the one we had at our wedding. Thank you again.
